Creel Cottage is a large family holiday cottage nestled in the Monmouthshire countryside just outside Abergavenny. This family-friendly holiday cottage is situated on a working farm in tastefully converted farm buildings in a courtyard.  Along with 2 other holiday cottages which have all been converted from the cow shed where the cows were formally milked. A double-height lounge dining area is very spacious with exposed beams and characterful stone floors with rugs and underfloor heating throughout to make it a truly welcoming cottage.

On Your Doorstep

The river Usk runs through the farm with a footpath along the bank, on a typical day you can see swallows in the yard, kingfishers on the river and cattle in the field. On your morning walk call in at St Mary’s the Virgin’s church Llanfair Kilgeddin, notable for an astonishing expression of the Arts, with 16 stunning sgraffito panels by Heywood Sumner.

A 5-Minute Drive Away

Take a walk up one of the three mountains surrounding Abergavenny such as the famous Sugar Loaf, Skirrid or the Blorenge. Visit the market town of Abergavenny, a town famous for its food festival, castle and museum, produce, antique and craft fairs in the market hall and a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Raglan castle, a medieval imposing structure is in close proximity together with Raglan Farm Park.
